Strabismus treatment

Normally, the eye focuses on a specific point, whose images are projected onto each eye's central area. Brain analyzers then combine the pictures from the eyes-and a person sees a single volumetric picture. The integration of such an image is impossible with strabismus: the visual axes are wrongly focused due to the inconsistent function of the eye muscles, the focusing mechanism is interrupted, and each eye sees its own, separate image.

The central nervous system, which protects against double vision, removes the excess image, which means that the eye that is not involved in the visual process will stop working.

The goal of strabism treatment is to normalize visual functions and avoid dangerous complications that can lead to a devastating reduction in visual acuity.

Optical correction

Effective elimination of visual discomfort, which occurs in strabism, by wearing special glasses.

To correct visual functions with strabismus, glasses with bifocal or prismatic lenses can be assigned. Properly selected and manufactured technologically correct, such glasses in some cases turn out to be a tool not only for correction, but also for stabilization and even correction of squint!

Therapeutic treatment

The complex effective methods of normalizing the eye muscles, enhancing visual acuity and restoring binocular function-the ability to shape a single visual image, arising from the combining of stimuli, acquired from both eyes.

Therapeutic treatment may include

Occlusion is a way of integrating both eyes into the visual cycle by wearing special patches, occluders, the leading or idle eyes covered.

Only a doctor, a specialist in strabism care, after a detailed review of the visual system of the patient can decide the most effective mode of wearing occluders!

Hardware treatment is a method of therapeutic treatment of strabismus , normalizing visual functions with the help of targeted complex stimulation.

The ultramodern equipment of the clinic “allows for hardware treatment as efficiently as possible : the use of unique high-tech tools.

Surgical treatable

A effective way to treat strabism, which allows you to regain the symmetrical location of the eyes or close to the alignment by adjusting muscle tension.

The aim of strabism correction surgery is to reinforce or weaken the muscles, move the eyeball.

Following surgery, restoring the proper location of the eyes provides the conditions for normalizing binocular vision and self-correcting visual functions. Vision correction may also be done by conducting special workout complexes or by using hardware rehabilitation treatment procedures.

As a result of surgery to cure strabismus, a major cosmetic benefit is obtained in addition to therapeutic.

Strabismus treatment in adults

Can strabism be cured in adulthood?

Yes. Strabismus (strabism) can be cured in adults. Prismatic glasses and surgery can be adult strabism care options.

Most adults can use strabismus to get rid of strabismus. Be sure to consult your eye surgeon, who is specialized in strabism treatment.

Causes of strabismus in adults

Residual strabism can be found in adults from childhood, or strabism can be acquired in adulthood.

Acquired strabismus, which occurs in an adult, may occur in thyroid gland pathology, after a stroke, or with a brain tumor as a result of distyroid ophthalmopathy. But even in adults the origin of strabism can not be determined.

Ophthalmologist may be assigned to surgery to rectify strabism in adults and get rid of the need for prismatic glasses.

Furthermore, strabism influences the social and emotional side of life, indirectly-and economically. Strabismus correction in adults helps you not only to regain the proper eye orientation and binocular vision, but also to improve the quality of life.
