Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

The eyes are the mirror of the soul. Unfortunately, however, it was the eyes that first started to betray our age. The first signs of the first age-related changes occur in the paraorbital region. And then, as we look in the mirror, we begin to get agitated, to see wrinkles, a tired look, "bags" under the eyes.

There is an individual approach to each form and degree of age-related changes in this field, from the first wrinkles to blepharoptosis and pronounced hernia protrusions in the lower eyelid region.

The first age-related improvements can be reversed with the use of professional cosmetics, accompanied with cosmetological manipulations in the form of injections of botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid preparations and physiotherapy. But, inevitably, there comes a time when you are no longer happy with the image in the mirror, and the techniques available in the cosmetologist's arsenal are still powerless to alter anything. The only way out of this condition is through surgery.

Cosmetic eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, is a plastic surgery to stretch the skin, remove the bags under the eyes (lower blepharoplasty) and correct the shape of the eyelids. It is intended to achieve an esthetic effect with minimal invasiveness of the procedure. The purpose of the procedure is to extract excess body fat from the skin of the eyelids.

Plastic eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) is one of the most popular facial surgery due to its low cost, short period of operation and short duration of rehabilitation. This helps to reduce the amount of wrinkles, get rid of the "lines" under your eyes, and make your eyes appear more youthful and bright. The anti-aging effect helps you to strongly suggest this procedure. It has almost no age limits, can be done under local anesthesia and general anesthesia, and the healing of postoperative wounds in this area is generally strong.

The results of the procedure may be considered successful if the surgeon has been able to preserve the individual and natural appearance of the patient as much as possible while preserving the initial shape of the eye gap with almost imperceptible signs of plastic surgery.

Today, using blepharoplasty, you can not only restore the youth of the area around the eyes, but also, for example, alter the color and form of  the eyes.

Simply put, eyelid plastic can solve a lot of esthetic problems. Perhaps that's why such an operation is one of the most common in the world among people over 26 years of age.

Blepharoplasty is a fairly straightforward technique that has been widely used by doctors in various countries. Owing to its low invasiveness, there are limited risks: according to studies, complications arise only in 3% of cases.
